Dirt in Your Skirt is all over the world this weekend. As the spring has quickly melted into summer in Salt Lake City the obstacle course racing season seems to be taking off all over the country. This weekend we have ambassadors and myself racing all over the world.

Look for Heather Cammarata in Pennsylvania for the Civilian Military Combine where she is looking give the competition a challenge as she is getting stronger and faster each day. It is also her birthday today and what better birthday gift than a great result this weekend!

Angela Kamal will be leaving the east coast and heading off to Oklahoma where she will be competing in the Warrior Dash with her brother. As kids growing up Angela was always the one who was on the heavier side while her brother was the athlete in the family. As they have grown older the tables have turned Angela took back her life a few years ago and lost 100lbs. Her actions as well as her love for obstacle course racing fueled her brother to get back in shape start to lose weight. This weekend marks his first obstacle course race and Angela will be there every step of the way with her brother.

They say everything is bigger in Texas, and the same goes for the competition. The Spartan Race Sprint is headed to Burnet, Texas this weekend and is offering up big cash prizes ($2,000 for 1^st). It is one of a few key races this year that is offering up a large cash prize for the top three competitors. Both Janice Ferguson and Jackie Rust are headed that way to hopefully snatch up some of the purse. Both ladies are no strangers to the podium in the past. Both have been training hard over the past few months and we are all excited to see how they fair after some time off racing.

I write this as I sit on the plane headed to my first truly international race. I did race in Nicaragua in February but with an American Race Director and among mostly Americans. Today I head to Mexico City for the Spartan Race Super in Valle de Bravo this weekend. My first race where English is not the first language spoken by the majority of racers and race staff. Also this will be the largest female elite heat I have faced to date, with 300 women signed up for the heat. I was told that over the three days of racing over 9,000 would take on the course in Valle de Bravo. With a prize to the top female of $5,000 you know competition will be fierce. I am just excited for the opportunity to be there and will see how it all turns out at the finish line.

Finally, Minna Urrey will be tackling a 5K virtual race this weekend. Everyone is busy busy as the spring is in full swing. Our other ambassadors may not be racing this weekend but they are all busy with family, volunteering with the Special Olympics, and I am sure out on the trails doing what they love!
