Shame on Self Magazine
Self owned by parent company Conde Nast is making waves this morning on social media with it’s April issue about to hit stands and digital issue available already. What is all the fuss over? Tutus. In their BS section they make fun of two runners, running a marathon in tutus. The company got permission to use the photo. The only problem, the two women in the photo are cancer survivors, and the tutus are one of the woman’s company, Glam Runner, which raises money for the charity Girls on The Run. Check out the news report below…
Self issued this apology to the news station:
“She is awesome and we apologize for the association of her picture in any way other than to support her efforts to be healthy. Of course if tutus make you run with a smile on your face or with a sense of purpose or community, then they are indeed worth wearing, for any race.”
What are your thoughts?
