412pGBkjqQLRecently at Hunter Gatherer – Survival Run and Ultra marathons I had the opportunity to try out a few products. The first of which was Emergen-C. Actually a product which is already around the house, but had a chance to become reacquanted with the product. I first learned of Emergen-C years ago while working at a boarding school as a dorm parent. (Read lots of teenagers and lots of germs to spread around). I always had a box in my office and in my apartment and would hand it to kids and fellow co-workers at the first sign of a cold. It was a go-to item as a dorm parent and I would order it box after box.

For those who have never heard of Emergen-C they are small packets of powder you mix with 4-6 oz of water to become a fizzy drink full of vitamins and minerals. Each packet is like taking a multivitamin but much tastier. Below are the Supplement Facts…

I had almost forgotten about Emergen-C and the box in the pantry until Hunter Gatherer weekend when we received packets in our registration bag. I had not seen the Immune+ version we were given and was happy to give it a try. The citrus tastes great and will fall here and winter on it’s way, Emergen-C is a quick way to up my vitamins when the first signs of cold come on. It also can be used as a quick recovery drink to the system after a race like Hunter Gatherer. At $12-$20 per carton of 30 packets it’s an easy way boost your vitamins in a small easy to carry package.
