Episode 57 – Bianca Valenti – Big Wave Surfer, Breaking Gender Barriers in Big Wave Surfing

Bianca Valenti describes herself as a professional surfer, freedom fighter, and Italian Wine Specialist. She is most known for my advocacy and successful activism in Big Wave Surfing and helping women get into the Mavericks Event through a committee she formed called the Committee for Equity in Women’s Big Wave Surfing (CEWS) .

She is featured in the documentary It Ain’t Pretty focusing on the women’s big wave surf movement that recently launched on iTunes. She was also featured in the recent Documentary by NBC Sports called Tomboy. Valenti has won major events all over the world and nominated for the XXL women’s performer of the year.

She joins the podcast this week to talk about Big Wave Surfing, breaking gender barriers, and we dabble into the world of wine and food. For Valenti the stoke it high and you can hear it in this interview.
