Jax Mariash is a bit of a modern day wonder woman. She is an endurance stage racing world record holder in the 4-Desert Series, entrepreneur, founder of Stoked Roasters, and funny on top of it all.

Jax and I sat down in an office above one of her two coffee shops in Park City, Utah recently to talk about her running career and Stoked Roasters Coffee the coffee roasting and shop she founded. As we talked she was prepping for the Marathon des Sables multi-day stage race in Morocco, a race we talked about with 2013 women’s winner Meghan Hicks on episode 14.

Jax talks about the rigors of being a business owner and professional athlete, how she balances the two worlds, and when she finds time to relax in all of it. It was a fun conversation with both of us jacked up on caffeine in the process.
