First, it’s my day off for the week. I am really looking forward to the rest day as I was really tired after the end of the day yesterday. If you have been following the last couple of days you know this is the day for the “game changer” announcement. I know after reading this some will think I am crazy others will be excited that I jumped onboard for this challenge. Some may have guessed I would move in this direction, others will be shocked at this new challenge. For me it is a chance to see what I am really made of and look inside and find out who I really am at the core of it all. Well here it is (deep breath):

Yes, there I am number 52. Some maybe scratching your heads right now wondering, “What the hell is the Death Race?” or “What has she gotten into now?” Well for those of you that don’t know it might be one of the toughest races in the world. No seriously, think of every race in the world its up there! Conveniently, it is right down the road in Pittsfield, VT at Amee Farm, so basically 10 minutes away. You don’t know when the race starts and you don’t know when it ends. You just go and take on each challenge as it goes along. I signed a waiver that simply says “You May Die.” On average only 10-15% of the people who enter finish the race. So it is fitting that I make this announcement now as it is the start of the 2011 Death Race TODAY! Below is a videos made from the 2009 & 2010 race. So I now have 365 days until I take on the largest challenge of my life. Let the year of training begin!
